The snow leopard
You won't see them. That's the point.
A foundation for the snow leopard, and for the wild places that keep it.
Above the tree line, after dark
They live where few of us could: 2,500 to 5,500 meters up, across twelve countries of Central and South Asia.
No one knows exactly how many remain. Less than 2% of their range has ever been reliably surveyed.
What we do know: they are hunted for fur and bone, killed over livestock, and losing the wild sheep and goats they live on.

Conservation
We back the people on the mountain. They know it better than anyone.
Awareness
Most people have never heard of them. We'd rather they did.
Culture
Music, art and long nights, all in service of something wild.
One day, a sanctuary: room to recover, for the ones who can't go back.

We don't go it alone. We go where it works.
Ghost Cat Initiative raises funds and grants them to established snow leopard conservation organizations working in the field. We choose partners with proven, community-based programs, and we report where every grant goes.
